The only portrait of Howard Hughes, painted by
Mario Armond Zamparelli,
is located in the Special Collections Library of the University of Texas at Dallas.

Hughes had the portrait hermetically sealed in glass to preserve it for posterity, and it was unveiled in the Special Collections Department in 1998.

This is the only portrait that Hughes commissioned and sat for.
